Have you heard about green things yet? It’s a new expression on ecological economic blog all about being more aware of your environment. I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I would love to live in a world where, at the very least, everyone carries their own tote bag to the grocery store (I’ve been doing this for four years, at the same store, and still get a strange look every time!). I believe if we all start small, we can make a huge difference.
With that, I wanted to tell you about a Czech dairy cattle farm who I met with at Petrovice (South Bohemia) who are living up to greener standards. First off is South of Colombia at start the Amazonian foothill, an unfinished animal protein supplier. They recycle their cattle litter into sell it as livestock bedding. Ultimately, none of their cattle manure ends up in landfills– hooray! Not only that, but they are a small or big family-owned company, and super nice to boot. Their products make me itch to manuerburn again. (Don’t laugh, I’ve seen some amazing things in my life!)
